Job Overview
- Reports To: Senior Manager Corporate Transactions
- Division: Corporate Services
- Objective: Manage the company’s contractual obligations, focusing on drafting, legality, structuring, fiscal efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Review legal matters, including cases, petitions, and internal issues requiring legal input. Offer advice and propose actions based on MTNN rules and regulations.
- Draft legal agreements, review contracts for authenticity and validity, and provide guidance on supplier agreements.
- Participate in contract negotiations to minimize costs and uphold MTNN’s Value Creation Philosophy.
- Handle legal disputes and assist with liquidations involving MTNN and third parties.
- Liaise with external organizations, perform due diligence, and ensure deals related to commercial transactions are legally structured.
- Implement controls to guarantee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, integrating ethics and preventive law efforts.
- Proactively work to prevent litigation and ensure the efficiency of legal processes and services.
- Review and appraise team member performance according to MTNN’s employee evaluation procedures.
Education:
- A first degree in a relevant discipline
- LLB and BL
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- 6 – 13 years of experience, including:
- At least 3 years in a specialized area with managerial or supervisory responsibilities
- Experience in medium to large organizations
- Expertise in litigation, commercial matters, and funding negotiations
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian legal framework

Job Overview
- Reports To: General Manager – Financial Planning
- Division: Finance
- Objective: Oversee MTNN’s payroll processes, reporting, statutory compliance, and analytics. Ensure accurate payroll management across all subsidiaries and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support shareholder returns by working with MTN HR’s rewards team to manage all payroll-related financial information and valuations.
- Ensure accurate reflection of employee emoluments and rewards in line with accounting standards and reporting categories.
- Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure employee costs are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Develop and implement cost-effective payroll solutions and ensure timely, error-free processing of staff entitlements.
- Lead innovation and improvements in payroll processing functions.
- Manage engagements with external regulators and ensure compliance with ITF, NSITF, SBIR, FIRS, and other statutory requirements to avoid penalties.
- Mentor team members, provide training, and track performance to ensure alignment with MTNN’s objectives.
Education:
- A first degree in accounting or any numerate discipline; a second degree is an added advantage.
- Must be a chartered accountant.
- Fluency in English is required.
Experience:
- 6 – 13 years of experience, including:
- At least 3 years as a supervisor in a payroll-related area
- Experience in medium to large organizations
- Expertise in payroll management, financial management, tax, and audit-related matters
