The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung PDWA Summer School Master’s Scholarship for Africans in 2024 is accepting applications now. They want to pick folks for the KAS Summer School 2024 and hand out the KAS PDWA Master’s Scholarship after the workshop. It’s all happening online in July 2024. If your application gets the nod, you’ll get an email between May and June with all the details.
The scholarship, run by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) through the Regional Program for Political Dialogue in West Africa (PDWA), is there to help bright students with a passion for social or political causes. They’re prepping them for future gigs in politics, economics, research, media, and more.
The perks include covering your tuition fees and maybe throwing in some extra cash. But it’s not just about the money. They’ve got a whole training program lined up with seminars, conferences, and workshops. They want to deepen your understanding of public governance in a democratic setup, help you kick-start your own projects, and build up your skills.
To qualify, you need:
- A bachelor’s degree in subjects like political science, economics, law, or journalism from specific West African countries.
- Great grades, leadership skills, and a real interest in political or social issues.
To be on board with what KAS stands for.
To apply, fill out an online form and attach a PDF with your CV, academic records, proof of your involvement in social or political stuff, and a letter explaining why you want in. They might ask for more documents later.
They’ll pick based on how good your application is and how capable you seem. There’s no quota for different countries. If you make the cut, they’ll reach out for the next steps. But be ready, it could take a few months.
