Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Oyo
Position Overview
This role is based at one of their regional offices in South West Nigeria and involves frequent travel. They are in search of highly skilled Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to join their team and play a crucial role in maintaining energy uptime and resolving technical issues swiftly at the regional level. As an FSE, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of technical systems to guarantee uninterrupted power at various sites and optimal energy uptime at their hubs. Given their expansion across the South-West states of Nigeria, particularly in Oyo State with 21 existing hubs, this role demands significant travel within the country.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor systems to ensure energy uptime and promptly address technical issues as they arise.
- Assist in setting up new hubs, ensuring connectivity, and conducting routine maintenance.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and data teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities and inventory.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical issues for review by the Regional Service Engineer.
Skills and Experience
- Possess expertise in installing or maintaining energy systems, ideally including experience with diesel and solar systems.
- Have 1-3 years of technical/engineering experience in telecommunications, energy, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and reporting software such as MS Office and Google products.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Passionate about increasing energy access and open to learning new technologies.
