About the Role:
As an Accountant at Dana Group, you’ll play an important role in their financial operations. From handling general ledger entries to managing bank reconciliations, invoice verification, and fixed asset management, you’ll be at the heart of their accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- General Entries: Ensure accurate and timely posting of general ledger entries, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Bank Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements, resolving discrepancies promptly to ensure accuracy.
- Invoice Verification: Thoroughly verify and validate invoices, collaborating with different departments to address any discrepancies.
- Payment Vouchers: Process payment vouchers following company procedures, maintaining meticulous documentation for all financial transactions.
- Fixed Assets: Oversee fixed asset accounting, keeping track of additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Depreciation and Provision: Calculate and record depreciation expenses accurately, providing essential financial information for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BSc or HND).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and relevant software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Salary:
₦150,000–₦200,000/month
