Eligibility Requirements:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2:2.
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Age requirement: Applicants must be under 26 years old at the time of application.
- For candidates with tech expertise: Fluency in any of the following programming languages is advantageous: Java, XML, Android Development, Git, HTML, CSS, Kotlin, Go, 3rd party libraries (Android), Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Adobe XD, InVision, Marvel, Framer, etc. Please indicate your proficiency in these languages when applying.
Application Procedure:
Computer-based Test (CBT):
Applicants will undergo a computer-based test designed to assess their aptitude and skills relevant to the role they are applying for.
The test may include sections on verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, logical reasoning, and possibly technical skills assessment for candidates with tech expertise.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their performance in this test to determine their suitability for further consideration.
Pre-Assessment and Documentation:
Shortlisted candidates from the CBT phase will proceed to the pre-assessment stage.
At this stage, candidates may be required to submit additional documentation, such as academic transcripts, certificates, and identification documents, for verification.
This phase serves to ensure that candidates meet all eligibility requirements and have provided accurate information during the application process.
Assessment Centre:
Successful candidates from the pre-assessment stage will be invited to participate in an assessment center.
The assessment center may include various activities such as group discussions, case studies, role-playing exercises, and individual interviews.
This stage aims to evaluate candidates’ interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and leadership potential in a simulated work environment.
Final Interview:
Candidates who excel at the assessment center will progress to the final interview stage.
The final interview may be conducted by senior management or human resources professionals and will delve deeper into candidates’ qualifications, experiences, and suitability for the role.
This interview provides candidates with the opportunity to showcase their passion, motivation, and alignment with Sterling Bank’s values and goals.
Foundation School:
Upon successfully completing the interview stage, selected candidates will undergo training at the Sterling Bank Foundation School.
The Foundation School program is designed to equip new hires with essential skills, knowledge, and insights into Sterling Bank’s operations, culture, and industry best practices.
Participants will undergo rigorous training and development initiatives to prepare them for their roles within the organization and set them up for success in their careers at Sterling Bank.
Only candidates who meet the specified criteria will be shortlisted and contacted for further steps in the application process. It’s imperative to submit all applications via the provided application medium within the stipulated application period. Sterling Bank does not accept applications via email.
