The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced job openings for experienced professionals to join its team.
The recruitment aims to strengthen the agency’s services.
The official notice urges prospective applicants to carefully review the eligibility criteria before applying.
These positions are for individuals ready to make a meaningful impact on public service and contribute to Nigeria’s national development.
FIRS encourages interested candidates to submit their applications via the FIRS careers portal.
FIRS has outlined several qualifications and requirements for applicants:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or HND with at least a Second Class Lower/Lower Credit.
- Completion of the NYSC program not later than December 31, 2017.
- Applicants for Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager positions must be no older than 40 years as of December 31, 2024, while applicants for Senior Manager and Assistant Director roles must not exceed 45 years of age on the same date.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong team spirit and the ability to delegate effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian Tax Laws and an understanding of their application within the FIRS regulatory framework.
- Familiarity with the business/industry environment within which taxpayers operate.
- Ability to work as a regulator and ensure full compliance with laws.
The application portal will be open from Monday, 23rd December 2024. The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, 11th January 2025.
