The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) has launched its 2024/2025 Graduate Program for Africans. As the financial arm of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), EBID seeks to bolster its workforce by recruiting young graduates from universities and prominent institutions across the West African sub-region and the diaspora.
Program Objective
The program aims to groom young professionals for leadership roles within the bank by offering them a comprehensive two-year training opportunity. Successful candidates will undergo a structured program designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the bank’s operations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be nationals of ECOWAS member countries.
- Candidates should be under the age of 30 at the time of recruitment.
- Possession of a higher education diploma equivalent to a Master’s degree (Bac +5) in fields relevant to the bank’s operations.
- Ability to work well in multicultural teams and under pressure.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in office tools and fluency in English, French, and/or Portuguese.
Program Structure
- Selected candidates will be offered a two-year fixed-term contract with a six-month probationary period.
- During the program, participants will rotate through various departments to gain exposure to different aspects of the bank’s operations.
- They will receive mentorship from senior managers and engage in hands-on projects to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Upon successful completion of the program, candidates may be offered permanent positions within the bank.
