Position Overview:
Deel is seeking a dynamic individual to join their APAC Communications team as a Communications Manager. In this role, you will drive Deel’s communications strategy across the North Asia APAC region, engaging with global media and internal stakeholders. With a focus on thought leadership, product launches, and media relations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Deel’s brand presence and market positioning.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Communications to develop and execute Deel’s APAC PR strategy
- Translate internal data into compelling stories for media consumption
- Contribute to Deel’s thought leadership initiatives
- Coordinate communication of new product features to global media outlets
- Manage incoming press inquiries and media relations
- Support local Deel teams in new country launches
- Create timely and relevant content highlighting Deel’s innovations and impact on the future of work.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in B2B Communications or Media Relations, with a focus on the APAC region
- Established relationships with local and global media outlets
- Experience managing internal teams and external partners
- Strong understanding of current events and market trends
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a growth-oriented approach
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fast-growing startup environment
- Demonstrated success in remote and distributed team collaboration
- Background in the software industry
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin or Cantonese
