Job Description
As the Cost and Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial transactions, managing costs, and ensuring accurate reporting. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing management accounts for review by the CFO by the 3rd working day of the following month.
- Negotiating with vendors to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Managing monthly stock valuation reports and fixed asset reports.
- Reviewing daily transactions and making necessary adjustments.
- Handling payroll and statutory remittance schedules promptly.
- Driving monthly bank reconciliation processes and ensuring accuracy.
- Liaising with external auditors on financial audits.
- Developing cost card templates for pricing and conducting periodic reviews.
- Contributing to the preparation of the company’s annual budget and board financials.
- Attending departmental quality meetings and technical discussions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Sc/HND).
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or MBA.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent cost management, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Residing in Lagos Island, Lekki – Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis is an advantage.
Remuneration
Competitive monthly salary ranging from N200,000 to N400,000, based on experience and qualifications.
