This initiative aims to empower young African global citizens who exhibit a fervent dedication to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Benefits:
The Global Citizen Scholarship (GC Scholarship) stands as a fully virtual scholarship program designed to equip young African change-makers with the tools and resources needed to address one or more of the SDGs within their communities. Participants will propose and implement localized SDG Micro-Projects, while also gaining access to a comprehensive summer school curriculum, peer-to-peer mentoring, and an array of expert-led trainings and workshops on specific topics.
Requirements:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- African youth of any race, gender, or sexual orientation background.
- Citizenship from one of the following countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and Kenya.
- Age group: 20-35 years.
- Completion of at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Demonstration of a strong commitment to the SDGs and the principles of global citizenship.
- Minimum English proficiency level of B2 (European Standards).
