The 2025 DAAD Study Scholarship is fully funded; candidates apply to study in tuition-free universities in Germany while the DAAD provides living stipends of €11,208 per year, health insurance, and accommodation.

For applicants to be considered for the 2025 DAAD Scholarship, they must at least fulfill the following baseline requirements:
Requirements:
- Be a citizen of a developing country
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field
- Demonstrate proficiency in English or German
- Your university degree should not date back more than 6 years at the time of the application deadline.
- Apply for admission to a German university for your chosen study programme before the due date.
- Your application cannot be considered if you have been resident in Germany for longer than 15 months at the application deadline.
- You must demonstrate above-average academic performance.
DAAD Study scholarship recipients will have:

- Their tuition fees waived for the 2 years of the Master’s program.
- Monthly scholarship payments of 934 euros.
- Payments toward health, accident, and personal liability insurance cover.
- Travel allowance.
- Annual study allowance of 460 euros.
Funding is available for 10 months to 2 years to complete a Master’s degree (full-time, on-campus) at a state or state-recognized university in Germany in the STEM subjects of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and engineering.
Scholarship applicants must also fulfill the basic requirements for the Master’s program:

- Motivation Letter (max 2 pages)
- Admission letter from the German university
- Proof of English proficiency
- Diploma & Transcript of Records copies in original form, with certified translations into English or German (if issued in another language)
- One recent, supporting letter of recommendation (on a DAAD-form) from a university teacher which provides information about your qualifications
- Passport/national identity card and personal data page of the passport/national identity card
