A non-governmental organization gave Nigerians advice on how to adopt efficient management techniques to guarantee their general health and wellbeing.
In an interview with the NGO’s Team Lead and Founder, Dr. Odunola Olabintan, stated that stress is becoming a common problem impacting people from a variety of backgrounds in today’s fast-paced society.
She emphasized the importance of treating symptoms as soon as possible, pointing out that stress can come from a variety of sources, including difficult work situations and personal obligations. Stress is essentially the body’s natural reaction to pressure or change.
People frequently struggle with stress, whether it is from managing relationships, completing deadlines, or going through life changes.
“It is important to address and manage prolonged or chronic stress because it can have negative effects on both physical and mental well-being,” stated Olabintan.
She emphasized the need of developing healthy coping methods, pointing out that regular exercise, mindfulness exercises, and getting enough sleep have all been shown to be effective stress-reduction techniques.
Additionally important are time management abilities, which enable people to choose priorities and keep their composure in the face of chaos.
“Getting help from professionals, friends, or family can also be a great way to voice worries and get perspective.”
The expert went on, “Identifying the warning signs of stress and taking proactive measures to manage it is essential for fostering resilience and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.”
