The World Health Organisation, WHO, has donated two mini COVID – 19 laboratories to the Plateau Government.
Musa Mahdi, the Coordinator of WHO in the state while handing over the laboratories to the government expressed confidence in the state’s ability to maintain and upgrade the current standards of the facilities.
Represented by Dr Andrew Abiodun, he said that the organisation believe that the labs would enhance access to quality healthcare services for residents of the state.
Primary Healthcare Centres Bukuru and Tudun Wada, in Jos South and Jos North Local Government Area, were the beneficiaries of the laboratories.
Speaking, the state Commissioner for Health, Mr. Cletus Bako thanked the donors while expressing hope that the laboratories would ensure proper diagnoses of medical challenges in the health facilities they are situated.
