NAFDAC Won’t Be Compromised By Economic Hardship

Despite the widespread of economic hardship being experienced in the country, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has promised to never compromise their standard and quality of regulated product.

Mrs Roseline Ajayi, the NAFDAC South-West Coordinator gave this assurance at a meeting organised by the agency in Akure, Ondo State aimed at safeguarding the health of the nation stating the effort put in to lessen the load on the agency’s stakeholders as the Director general of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeleye has introduce a few interventionary steps irrespective of the challenges as instability of power supply, subsidy removal, exchange rate fluctuation etc.

“The DG has create a platform for three months administrative waivers charges for those caught with unregistered product and those who fail to renew their license of the stakeholder from January to March ending.

In as much we are doing our best to make sure the right quality, safe products get to the consumers in the country, we also advise Nigerians to patronise NAFDAC registered products as its the only way to stop them from doing more damage to the society and It is illegal and unapproved for anybody to produce unhealthy items.

Mr Mapay Rotimi, Chairman Association of Table Water Producers, appreciated NAFDAC for the three-month license waivers given to them and requested the agency to be firm with the issuance of license to the water producers as some might be tempted to reduce quality to make quick sales due to competition in the market.
