Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain.
People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests.
The First Lady has described autistic as challenging, recognizing the role of community organisation in offering opportunities, resources, and support to people with autism and their families.
She advocated for early identification and treatment of the autism disorder to enable the children reach their full potential.
She further implore parents and caregivers to pay attention to developmental milestones, create a society where individual gifts is respected, empowered and to seek professional assistance if any issues arises.
