Wizkid reignites feud with Davido

The long-standing feud between Nigerian music superstars Wizkid and Davido appears to be far from over. In a recent development, Wizkid took subtle jabs at Davido just hours after the latter announced the release of his first single for 2024.

Davido had revealed that the new track was intended to be a hit to celebrate Nigeria’s independence.

However, following this announcement, Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, also known as Black Tycoone, took to X (formerly Twitter) to throw a dig at Wizkid, saying, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already.”

In response, Wizkid quoted the post with a sharp comment, “P***y boys dropping mid again. Una don tire! Make una go rest small!!”

This sparked a heated exchange, with one of Davido’s associates accusing Wizkid of using Davido’s name for attention, asking, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”

Wizkid fired back, claiming that he didn’t need to feud with Davido to sell his music, adding that Davido was “wack and talentless.”

“I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” Wizkid posted.

So far, Davido has not responded to Wizkid’s comments, choosing to stay silent on the matter. The tension between the two stars dates back to the early 2010s when both were rising in the Afrobeat music scene.

Wizkid gained fame with his debut album Superstar in 2011, while Davido’s breakthrough came the same year with his hit track Dami Duro.
