Following reports of Wizkid recent announcement that he does not wish to identify as an Afrobeats artist anymore, and also issuing a statement blasting those who criticized him for denouncing the genre.
Reacting via X platform, Tacha hailed the singer, saying he is the only Nigerian artist that impresses her.
Tacha equally said the singer got endeared to her because of his recent social media outburst, lambasting those criticising him for rejecting the Afrobeats tag, she said;
“Omo I’m loving Wizkid now oooh. Baba no send anybody papa. Gosh…shea person fit change fave? Bcuz like this eh!!! Na only Star boy dy do wetin dy sweet me…Una papa.”
This post has elicited different mixed reactions, with many berating her for supporting such crass display while labelling her “razz and clout chaser.” while others, equally fans of Wizkid, support her statement while equally dissing other artists.
Tacha was known to be a staunch supporter of Davido, a clear rival of Wizkid in the Nigeria Music Industry, hence her statement comes as a surprise to many.
