Reacting via his social media handle on Instagram, a Fela Anikulapo Kuti descendant and singer, Seun Kuti has expressed his doubt about the 2024 billionaire list recently released by American magazine, Forbes, which he claimed isn’t accurate and they are all lies being pushed to the public as ‘no one can work that hard’.
According to Forbes, France’s fashion mogul, Bernard Arnault ($233 Billion), and American businessmen; Elon Musk ($195 Billion), Jeff Bezos ($194 Billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($177 Billion), and Larry Ellison ($141 Billion) are the world’s 5 richest men.
The breakdown showed that the world’s 5 richest men have increased their wealth to a combined total of $869 billion since the COVID-19 lockdown, a feat that still bamboozle a lot of financial enthusiasts and the common man.
However reacting to this, Seun Kuti said that the list was fake, arguing that “no one can work that hard.”
“The world’s 5 richest men since lockdown, have increased their wealth to a combined total of 869bn US dollars.”
“That means they can spend 1 million dollars a day for the next 476 years. No one can work that hard. We have been lied to.”
Seun has been known to often give his opinion about a lot of things going on in the world without reservation, this recent reaction only added to a long list of reactions and opinions.
