Seun Kuti discussed comedian Bovi’s current act during a recent Instagram Live session. The name Seun Kuti appeared in the now-viral farce about police officers negotiating ransom demands with kidnappers. The police officers negotiated a reduced price for Kuti when his name was mentioned in the video.
Nonetheless, Kuti found resonance in the humor. He stated, “The guy do well, Bovi is a funny guy,” during the Instagram Live call.
That wasn’t all, though. He continued by saying that he didn’t think the comic act, whose name rhymes with ‘Dakun’, was hilarious.
“You guys know who I’m talking about, not like that other guy who isn’t funny. Both the phrase and his name rhyme with Dakun. He can beg, he’s always begging,” he remarked.
Social media users quickly asserted that AY Makun was the other comic after his live video.
Remember how Makun and Kuti got into a dispute in November 2023 over a comedy he said was a satire of the hot subjects of the day, which included Hilda Baci breaking records, the withdrawal of fuel subsidies, and Kuti’s incident with slapping a police officer?
Kuti called out Makun on social media at the time, and the comic quickly cleared the air.
AY stated, “I decided to respond to this because he mentioned that I addressed his baby as a dog,”. For me, I love kids. I am one human being who looked for kids for like 13 years. I do not think I would find myself in a position to mock another living being as a child and refer to that child as a dog There is no way I would refer to your son or daughter as a dog.”
