Tony Tetuila’s smash hit song “My Car,” which was a humorous critique of the nation’s social and economic conditions, was released in 2001.
Tony Tetuila shot to fame with the hit song “My Car,” which was played on speakers all across the nation. Tetuila had only recently broken up with The Remedies, a band that included Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana, also known as Eddy Remedy.

In a recent exclusive interview, Tony Teitulla spoke with Daddy Freeze about a few of the pressing concerns that have arisen since Eedris Abdulkareem’s appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast.

Tetuila stated in the interview that he was working on a remix of his 2001 blockbuster hit song “My Car” and that he hoped to bring in Grammy-winning Nigerian hitmaker Burna Boy for the project.

Tony Tetuila praised the current generation of musicians elevating Nigerian music to unprecedented levels. When Burna Boy claimed that no one had prepared the road for him, Tetuila criticized Eedris Abdulkareem for his criticism.

Tetuila stated that although previous generations of artists and Eedris can be considered pioneers, they still cannot insist on paving the road for the next generation.
