Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold recently voiced his concerns over the country’s growing economic difficulties.
Reflecting on the current hardship, he suggested that P-Square’s 2009 hit “E No Easy” would resonate even more if released now, as it captures the challenges people face during tough times.
Gold added that if the song were re-released today, he’d add his own verse to express his frustration over Nigeria’s economic state.
On his Snapchat page, Gold wrote, “Na this year Psquare suppose sing ‘E No Easy’. Make them feature me, make I express my feelings for verse 3.”
‘E No Easy’ was released off P-Square’s ‘Danger’ album in 2009. It featured producer J. Martins.
It was revived as a bilingual French/English song “Positif”, by Matt Houston featuring P-Square in 2012, becoming a hit in France.
