Nigerian singer Portable recently met Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, at the airport in Benin City.
A video circulating on social media shows the two exchanging pleasantries.
After the encounter, Portable expressed disappointment in a follow-up video, stating that Obi did not give him anything, and suggested that President Bola Tinubu would have offered him money if it had been him.
“Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go,” he said.
