Nollywood actresses Chizzy Alichi and Laide Bakare resolved their differences in the boxing ring, following in the footsteps of Portable and Charles Okocha.
The women were seen trading blows in the ring in a series of films that began going viral on social media on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Bakare was the blue corner representative, and Alichi was the red corner representative.
After the bout, Alichi declared herself the winner and posted a victory celebration to her Instagram page.
She expressed her gratitude to the match’s organizers and fans while holding her trophy. She also expressed her love to Bakare, jokingly reminding her that she was awaiting a bottle of champagne.
“We WON !!!! About last night, thank you, guys, for coming out, I appreciate my colleagues and the organizers of the show, amazing work, Well done we had fun. My co-winner @laidebakare loves you and I’m still waiting for my champagne,” She wrote.
As a gesture of goodwill, Laide Bakare commented, “My partner in fight @chizzyalichi you made fighting easy and fun for me. Chai 😂 E just dey Do me make I Dey fight dey go anyhow 🤣 love you girl. Since I now have your Address, sending your champagne 🥂 on Monday and you can also come over 😍 let’s get our eyes dirty joor. Remember we no dey gree for Anybody this year oooo.”
On the other hand, Bakare declared victory over the opponent and made plans for a celebration party on her post.
“CALL ME HONORABLE CHAMPION🕺🏻💃I will be hosting a victory party 🎉 in celebration of my championship in Lekki this Sunday, March 3rd, 2024,” the post mentioned. Come one come all 🙌👏
