The Nigerian artist Charly Boy has expressed regret to his fellow countrymen on behalf of his generation, emphasizing that his own generation’s lack of action is to blame for Nigeria’s current state.
During a recent guest appearance on Classic FM radio station’s The Discourse With Ken, Charly Boy admitted responsibility for the current status of the country and voiced his great anger.
“I mean, I am the president of all angry Nigerians. I have experienced my fair share of suffering, which has led to a very high degree of frustration. He remarked, “I’m positive that the state of our nation is the reason my p**is doesn’t rise.
The artist urged Nigerians to own up to their mistakes and cautioned against blaming the country’s political leaders, whom he called the “ruiners of Nigeria.”
“Our people don’t like to hear the truth, but the ‘ruiners of Nigeria,’ as I like to call them, are part of the reason for our current issues in our country. In actuality, we ought to give up blaming these individuals. This wouldn’t have happened if we had taken the appropriate steps,” Charly Boy stated.
He expressed sincere regret for the mistakes made by his generation in the past and said that nothing was done to stop the problems that are being faced today when they started all those years ago.
“I want to take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of my generation because most of us were absent from the scene,” he added. We had observed the problems originating from the military dictatorship, not from the current one. And the majority of us seem like criminals have taken over our place and it’s difficult to get them out because we neglected to act when we should have.”
