A video featuring a distressed young man has caused a stir among Nigerians after he detailed being scammed at Lagos’ Computer Village.
The widely circulated video shows the man, @dieahdy, recounting how he was deceived by a scammer who handed him a bundle that seemed to be money. Upon unwrapping it, he discovered that the bundle was merely cardboard cut to resemble real currency.
In the video, @dieahdy expresses his disbelief and frustration, wondering how he could have been so easily deceived.
He wrote:
“Please guys, be careful out there.”
“That sh.it is not ordinary, Even I keep asking myself, how did this thing happen to me?”
