Well-known street shop singer Portable has made it clear that he would never forgive any of his wives for cheating on him, as he does not wish to “die young.”
On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the artist declared on Instagram that he didn’t want to pass away too soon if any of his wives cheated. He continued saying, “If your wife dey cheat and you no fit talk, that’s means you’re not a responsible man. Sha no forget to say them fit use your woman get you down.”
Social media users quickly responded to Portable’s remark on social media, reminding him that he had several wives and baby moms. Omobewaji was his first wife, while Ashabi Simple was his most recent. In January 2024, he got into a public argument with Ashabi Simple.
A snippet from Seun and Yeide Kuti’s interview on TVC’s Your View prompted Portable to make this statement. Yeide emphasized in the interview that she would never leave Seun even if he cheated and that she does not consider infidelity as a deal-breaker in their marriage.
“There is nothing my husband is going to do that would make me leave him” Yeide declared. “He may cheat on me, but I won’t let him go and I won’t divorce him. No, that is not possible.”
Another Instagram user who agreed with Seun said, “We don’t believe in cheating. What does it mean to cheat? Love is not possession.
Seun Kuti said, “No, What has that got to do with anything?” in response to a presenter who questioned, “Would you leave her if she cheats on you?”
