Nigerian singer 1Da Banton has revealed that he wrote his colleague, Davido’s ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake, a claim yet to be independently confirm nor corroborated.
He disclosed this as a guest on the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope
The ‘No Wahala’ crooner, added that he produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ featuring Angelique Kidjo and The Cavemen, a viral hit song that appealed to a lot of music enthusiasts.
He said: “I produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ with Cavemen and wrote ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake,” in the said interview which has garnered a lot of reaction as this came as a surprise to many.
Speaking about his inspiration and where he got there encouragement to make music, 1Da Banton said popular skit maker and singer, Nasboi, inspired him to do music while he was dating his sister, a decision he does not regret to have made.
He said: “My older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Nasboi inspired me to make music.”
