DMW signee Logos Olori has claimed that he wrote his record label boss Davido’s Grammy-nominated song, ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys, He said he was the originator of the song, while his colleague, Peruzzi, wrote the verses of the song.
Logos Olori said he came up with the idea for the song but Davido wanted a different verse from the one he presented which was why he got Peruzzi involved.
Disclosing this in a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, the signee said;
“‘Unavailable’ was nominated for the Grammys. We did that song somewhere in Ajah: myself, Magicsticks and Ragee. And Rihanna said that was her best song of 2023.”
“I wrote the song. Peruzzi wrote the verse. After we made the song, Davido said he wanted the verse to be changed, so he called Peruzzi to do the verse. But I actually came up with the idea of the song. We did a bit of tweaking; that’s where Musa Keys and Peruzzi came in.”
He further stated that it is a big deal for him because even Barbadian-American singer, Rihanna considers “Unavailable” one of the best songs of 2023.
During the recently concluded Grammys, Davido’s song ‘Feel’ was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance category, ‘ Timeless’ was nominated for the Album of the Year category and his ‘Unavailable’ was nominated for Best African Music Performance. He, however, was unable to win any of the nominations.
