Multiple award winning afrobeats sensation, Wizkid, says football would have been his alternate career if music hadn’t worked out.
He recently shared insights into his passion for football and how it almost became his career path.
Reflecting on his school days, he revealed that he played on his school’s football team and might have pursued the sport professionally if not for his impatience and dislike for early morning training sessions, which led him to focus on music instead.
“If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football, I play football real good, I used to be in my school team,” Wizkid said, underscoring his talent in the sport. Despite choosing a different path, his respect for football and its demands remains unwavering.
Wizkid also touched on his unique approach to security, explaining that he chooses not to travel with bodyguards, relying instead on his management team, whom he considers family. This close-knit group provides him with a sense of protection and trust wherever he goes.
