Omowumi Dada has stated that she has always liked the law and would have pursued a profession as a lawyer if she hadn’t discovered acting in a recent interview with Shock Ng at the viewing party of her most recent feature film, L.I.F.E.
“I would be a lawyer if I weren’t an actor. Well, I’ve always enjoyed the law because I adore fighting for human rights. She remarked, “I have always loved speaking out for people and I am a big believer in doing things correctly.
In the movie L.I.F.E, Dada, and Efe Irele play two ladies who desire life would treat them differently until it does and teach them to be grateful for their previous situation.
The film, which is currently available for streaming on Prime Video, has received positive reviews and has been nominated for official selection at the 2023 Zanzibar International Film Festival as well as winning Best Sound Track at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Best Nigerian Film at the 2023 AMAA Awards.
Olarotimi Fakunle, Eso Dike, Mr. Macaroni, Tope Olowoniyan, Jay Paul, Kate Adepegba, Mena Sodje, and Fehintola Olalekan are among the other actors in the Uyoyou Adia-directed film.
In addition, the actress plays the lead in Meeting Funmi’s Parents, a romantic comedy that is now among the top three most-seen Nigerian films in theaters.
The story, written and directed by Kevin Apaa, centers on Funmi (played by Dada) as she travels to see her parents in Nigeria after returning from the US with her fiancé, Ron Thomson. Funmi’s father, however, is against their relationship and desire to settle down.
