Content creators to register business with CAC

Corporate Affairs Commission

In order to formalize unregistered enterprises in Nigeria, Michael Nwabufo, the president of the Practitioners of Content Creation, Skit Making, and Influencers’ Guild of Nigeria, has consented to collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Nwabufo stated that the CAC’s action to safeguard and advance the interests of all industry practitioners was commendable and promised to work with the commission to effectively inform members of the advantages of registering.

During a courtesy visit to the Registrar General CAC in Abuja, he made this statement and urged the commission to ensure that member registration is easy and free of any bottlenecks.

He continued by saying that content producers may get government grants and loans to build their brands, as well as individually and securely safeguard their names.

Magaji ordered them to follow the guidelines in Section 863 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA 2020, in order to formalize their operations either separately or together by registering in bulk for the least amount of money.

The association’s acting president, Michael Nwabufo, receiving his CAC Ambassador title was the meeting’s high point.

Tokoni Igoin Peter, the president’s special assistant for ICT development and innovation, praised the idea and stated that it will undoubtedly have a good effect on the growth of the content creation sector.
