In the latest episode of the Spill With Phyna Podcast, Popular skit maker and artist, Oderhwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has revealed that Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer, Asake was chased off the stage during his concert at London’s O2 Arena last year, 2023
Quoting him;
“The management of 02 Arena turned off the lights during Asake’s performance at the venue last year. Westerners treat us anyhow, and we still go back to them. They chased Asake off the stage. They put off the lights. I’m not lying.”
Efe made this known while lamenting the unfair treatment melted at Nigerian creatives by Western music executives and show promoters especially in their countries
Efe equally dismissed Phyna’s suggestions about Nigerian Artistes doing their own concerts back home and doing away with the western model by saying Nigeria does not have the capability nor the facilities and infrastructures needed to make such projects successful.
