The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has unveiled its nominees, celebrating exceptional talent and creativity across the African continent.
The announcement was broadcast live on Africa Magic channels on March 23, 2025, marking another milestone in recognizing outstanding contributions to African cinema and television.

- Event Date: The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 10, 2025, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
- Voting: Public voting is open until May 4, 2025, via the Africa Magic website.
- Categories: The AMVCA recognizes excellence across 27 categories, blending audience-voted and juried awards. Nine categories are open for public voting, while 18 are decided by a distinguished panel of judges led by veteran filmmaker Femi Odugbemi.
- Special Awards: Two recognition awards—the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trailblazer Award—will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry.
