AFCON: Falz, Victor Osimhen, Other Celebrities Urges Against Cyberbullying Alex Iwobi

The Nigerian Super Eagles, Alex Iwobi has faced heavy criticism on the internet by Nigerians following his alleged poor performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation’s final on Sunday and many celebrities like AY comedian, Falz, among others took to their social media page as they drum support for Alex Iwobi, slammed Nigerians for cyber bullying the player.

Following this waves of criticism, the Nigerian midfielder was pushed to take down all his photos and videos from his social media page after his critics came heavily at him.

A group of Super Eagle players have rallied together to fight against cyber bullying in support of their colleague, Alex Iwobi, this included the likes of Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, William Troost-Ekong, Samuel Chukwueze, Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, to mention a few took to their pages as they threw in their support for the midfielder.

They took to their pages with the caption:

“We win together We lose together. We are all one. Some of our fans should do better. @alexanderiwobi.”

Equally defending the player, Falz stated that every single player that puts on green and white to represent Nigeria at the AFCON match made a sacrifice and does not deserve to be treated badly.

Sharing Alex Iwobi’s picture on his Instagram page on Monday evening, the rapper kicked against cyber-bullying, while expressing his love for the player, Falz said.

We speak a lot about cyber-bullying but we are so quick to turn against our own. @alexanderiwobi Love you bro! Thank you.”

There have equally been other Music celebrities who have equally called for ab end to this trend.
