Nigerian actor and emerging filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji is reflecting on his successful career as he prepares for the release of his new film, “Lisabi – The Uprising,” which will be available on Netflix starting September 27th.
Sharing the official trailer on Instagram, Adedimeji expressed his excitement and gratitude, highlighting both the challenges and triumphs during the production.
He wrote, “I can go on and on to tell you what we went through to make this happen but, today is about counting my blessings. I went from being the boy backstage to leading a galaxy of stars in bringing you this masterpiece.”
The actor described the film as a tribute to the sacrifices of past heroes, adding, “If you understand the consequences of condescending captivity, you’ll appreciate the power of freedom. This movie will show you what our heroes went through to gift us the liberty we enjoy today.”
Adedimeji encouraged fans to celebrate this milestone with him, stating, “This one is for you and every child of our land. You will love it!”
