Trinity University’s inaugural convocation ceremonies are set to take place in Yaba, Lagos.
It is planned to take place on the campus of the university on Wednesday, February 21, and Friday, February 23, 2024.
The university’s convocation ceremony has “Convoking a Galaxy of Trinity Stars” as its theme.
Since its founding in 2018, the fully accredited university by the National Universities Commission has graduated two sets of students who will be recognized at upcoming ceremonies, and it has matriculated five sets of students.
According to an announcement from the organization, the festivities will start on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00 am with a press conference and end at 4:00 pm with a schedule of student activities.
The announcement said, “On Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:00 am, the Convocation Lecture titled ‘Disruptive Technology: The Ambiguous Friend!’ will take place.” The lecture will be given by Prof. Adenike Osofisan, the first female African computer science professor, and will be presided over by Deacon Adebowale Tade, the chairman of Trinity University’s board of trustees. At 4:00 p.m., there will be a Thanksgiving service.
“The investiture of the Chancellor, prize presentations, and the awarding of honorary and first degrees will all take place at the ceremonies’ culmination, which serves as the primary convocation event on Friday, February 23, 2024.
“Godliness, academic excellence, professionalism, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and discipline are the core values of the university.”
