President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerian universities to lead the fight against corruption, emphasizing their role as key educational institutions.
Tinubu, represented by the Vice-Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Prof. Lawal Bilbis, made this appeal during the 3rd and 4th convocation ceremony at the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) in Gusau on Saturday.
Tinubu said: “This administration had increased budgetary allocation to education, defence, humanitarian and health sectors because of the importance it attaches to them.”
He assured that the government is dedicated to holding those responsible for student abductions and other criminal activities accountable.
