The Sèyí Mákindé-led Oyo State Government, through the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OyoSUBEB) announced that the computer-based test for recruiting primary school teachers will be held from Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26, 2024.

Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of OyoSUBEB, disclosed this in Ibadan on Wednesday.

Adeniran stated that 50,097 applicants had successfully passed the initial application stage and would participate in the computer-based tests.

He confirmed that individual test dates and times had already been communicated to the applicants via email and phone.

He, therefore, advised applicants to check their emails and phones for confirmation regularly.

He added that the venue for the exam is the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based Testing Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan.

“The Board has approved that the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based testing centre, should conduct the computer-based tests for the applicants because of its long-standing pedigree in such examinations,” he said.

Adeniran instructed all applicants to print copies of their CBT examination schedule and their application print-out, which includes their passport photos, from the job portal.

He emphasized that these two print-outs are required for admission into the CBT examination hall and that applicants must strictly adhere to their assigned time and date. Loitering around the center will not be tolerated.

The Chairman also stated that successful candidates from the computer-based tests would be required to appear for oral interviews.

Adeniran reiterated the Board’s commitment to a credible exercise, warning applicants not to rely on hearsay and to stay updated through official communications from the Board to avoid scammers.
