Osun set to hire 5,000 Teachers

The Osun State government has authorized the hiring of 250 education officers and 5,000 teachers to cover the open positions in the state’s teaching workforce.

This was disclosed in a statement credited to Governor Ademola Adeleke and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olawale Rasheed.


According to him, the government’s 2023 needs assessment report’s conclusion before the clearance for teacher recruitment, and that the Ministry of Education was instructed by the council to expedite the hiring of capable personnel in order to improve instruction and student learning.

He claims that N1.3 billion has also been authorized by the council for the quick restoration of the Ora Igbomina water works in the Ifedayo Local Government area.
