The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has announced that his phone line has been hacked.
In a disclaimer posted on his official X account on Thursday, Mamman warned the public to avoid communicating through the compromised number and to disregard any requests for assistance.
A follow-up statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, on Friday confirmed that unauthorized individuals are using the hacked line, particularly on WhatsApp.
The ministry urged the public to stay cautious and report any suspicious messages. The issue has been reported to relevant authorities and is currently under investigation.
