Chinedu Emmanuel, a.k.a. Nedu, a Nigerian broadcast journalist has partnered with the Metropolitan School of Management, UK to launch an all-expense-paid scholarship program in Lagos for 1,000 worthy Nigerians who are willing to enroll in pertinent courses in the UK and then return home to further boost the nation’s economy.
Talented people without access to high-quality education will profit from the relationship.
“Through this partnership, we aim to break down barriers and unlock opportunities for talented individuals who lack access to high-quality education,” Nedu stated. “Education is the cornerstone of societal progress.”
He continued by saying that the four-year course scholarship had been split into two phases, the first of which would take place virtually in Nigeria and the second of which would take place in the UK to provide recipients with further experience.
Dylan Hannigan, the Director of Social Impact Initiatives at the Metropolitan School of Business and Management in the UK, stated that the school was delighted to collaborate with Nedu in his mission to provide worthy Nigerians with the tools they need to achieve their educational goals and make significant contributions to society.
“Education should be accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status or background,” he stated.
In addition to teaching the beneficiaries how to handle chronic difficulties during their second leg of studies in the UK, Sarah Williams, the manager of the Nedu Scholarship Drive, noted that exceptional students will also have the opportunity to be accepted into international organizations.
Nedu would provide the keynote speech during the unveiling ceremony on March 9, 2024.
