FUOYE launches Advanced Internet Service powered by Green Energy

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has reached a remarkable milestone with the official launch of its advanced internet service, powered by a cutting-edge 70KVA Green Energy System.

This makes FUOYE the first public university in Nigeria to deploy such a robust technological advancement, setting a new benchmark in higher education.

Prof. Malomo also commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, for his visionary leadership and expressed gratitude to the students for their cooperation in ensuring the project’s success.

The system currently accommodates 2,000 users, allowing modern smartphones to connect via FIDS Wireless BOLT (for 5G enabled devices), while older phones use FIDS Wireless. Lecturers and non-teaching staff are also beneficiaries of this initiative.
