French curriculum bridges cultural barriers, says school

Introduction of the French curriculum to Nigerian students will foster a unique learning experience that bridges cultural barriers according to the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur, Lagos State.

The principal of the school, Mr. Sylvain Malrieu, emphasized that the main goal of French government-affiliated organization was to provide top-notch French education as well as make it more accessible to Nigerians and Africa at large.

French is the primary language of instruction complemented by the learning of other languages such as Spanish, English, German, Arabic and others depending on the demand as it aims to provide a comprehensive linguistic education.

The school was established in 1958 by the Association Française du Nigeria. Due to their full French curriculum, students who complete primary and secondary education will be well prepared to pass the French national examination.
