United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Zenith Bank have announced plans to commence full banking operations in France.
This significant development follows a landmark business cooperation agreement signed with the French Government during Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s state visit to France.
The agreement, witnessed by President Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron, was signed by UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu and French Finance Minister Antoine Armand. Elumelu emphasized that this partnership reinforces UBA’s commitment to providing seamless international banking services for customers across Africa and Europe.
Zenith Bank is also set to expand its operations in France, aiming to strengthen its presence in the European market and enhance financial inclusion and technological innovation.
