Mr. Gbenga Alade has been appointed Managing Director of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu. Ahmed Kuru, who took office in August 2015, is succeeded by Alade.
Additionally, the president gave his approval to the appointment of the ten executive chiefs of Nigerian Communications Commission, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, and Galaxy Backbone Limited.
In a statement he signed on Thursday, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed the appointments under the heading “President Tinubu appoints new AMCON management team.”
In addition, Tinubu nominated the remaining three executive directors, subject to ratification by the Nigerian Senate. Lucky Adaghe, Adeshola Lamidi, and Aminu Ismail are these people.
According to Ngelale, the President expects “unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees so as to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitize the nation’s financial system to maximize value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.”
He named Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute, Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, and the Nigerian Communications Commission.
He appointed Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director, Finance & Administration, and Abiodun Attah as Executive Director, Technical Services at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited.
Along with three executive directors, the President also named Ibrahim Adeyanju the Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited. They are Olusegun Olulade, Executive Director, Customer Centricity & Marketing; Mohammed Ibrahim, Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services; and Olumbe Akinkugbe, Executive Director, Digital Exploration & Technical Services.
President Tinubu anticipates that the newly appointed individuals would “deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation,” according to Ngelale, following the reorganization of the management teams in these institutions.
These confirmations continue President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment spree following the appointments of Kemi Nandap as the CG of Immigrations and Ibrahim Gaga as the MD/CEO of NEXIM Bank.
