Starlink, the satellite internet provider, has announced a hike in its monthly subscription rates due to inflationary pressures.
In a message sent to its customers on Tuesday, the company disclosed that the standard residential package will now cost ₦75,000, the mobile regional (roam unlimited) plan will be ₦167,000, and the mobile global (global roam) package will be ₦717,000.
The price increase takes effect immediately for new customers, while existing customers will see the new rates applied from 31 October 2024. Starlink cited “excessive levels of inflation” as the reason for the adjustment.
The company also noted that customers may cancel their subscription without penalties if they choose not to continue with the service.
