Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force’s Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja.
He is currently being questioned over allegations of real estate fraud and money laundering.
Pastor Idowu, known for his “Next Level Prayer Conference,” founded HICC in December 2003. The church has since expanded to multiple locations across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States, attracting over 70,000 worshippers both online and in person.
The arrest has sparked significant controversy, with Pastor Idowu undergoing rigorous interrogation as authorities investigate the extent of his alleged involvement in fraudulent financial dealings.
