The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that there will be an electricity disruption in parts of Oyo State on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
According to TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah, the disruption is due to preventive maintenance on the 150 megavolt-ampere 330/132/33 kilovolt transformer at the Ayede, Ibadan, transmission substation.
The power disruption is expected to last from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursday in areas serviced by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
During this period, IBEDC will carry out load shedding in the following areas: Oluyole, Apata, Lanlate, Iyaganku, Liberty, Eleyele, Express, Industrial, and Interchange.
