The OPEC+ group of oil producers, which includes the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its partners, has delayed its production policy meeting by one day to June 2.
Originally scheduled to be in Vienna on June 1, the meeting will now take place online a day later, OPEC announced on Friday.
OPEC+ oil producers are voluntarily reducing their output by about 2.2 million barrels per day (bpd) for the first half of 2024, with Saudi Arabia continuing a previous voluntary cut.
These reductions add to earlier cuts announced in stages since late 2022, bringing the total promised cuts to approximately 5.86 million bpd, which is about 5.7 percent of daily global demand, according to Reuters calculations.
