Olusegun Alebiosu, First Bank CEO

Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, on Wednesday, was announced by FBN Holdings Plc as the substantive Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of its banking subsidiary, First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FirstBank).

In a statement on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the Holding Company disclosed that the appointment was subject to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approval.

Sequel to the resignation of the former MD, Adesola Adeduntan as the CEO of the bank in April 2024, Alebiosu has been serving as the Acting Managing Director.

In a statement signed by the Acting company Secretary, FBN Holdings, Mr. Adewale Arogundade, Ini Ebong was also appointed to as the Deputy Managing Director, pending the approval of CBN.

Ini was the bank’s former Executive Director in charge of Treasury and International Banking.

In addition, the Group announced the appointment of Mr. Alao Olatunde-Olaifa as Non-executive Director of FirstBank and it is also subjected to the bankers’ bank approval.
